Notes that occupational cancers are grouped together with all other cancers and are not generally identified as occupational cancers; condemns the fact that, according to several analyses, workers and their families bear almost all of the costs associated with occupational cancers; notes that occupational cancers are associated with extremely high costs for workers, employers and national social security systems; calls on the Commission to ensure the proper registration of work-related cancers and their causes;

Calls for more frequent and more thorough inspections of Seveso-classified sites and the most polluting industrial sites following an integrated approach corresponding to the reality of each site and its environment; stresses that the aim of these inspections must be to prevent the risk of incidents and accidents, to drastically reduce all emissions that pose a risk to health and pollute air, water and soil, to improve waste management, to protect biodiversity, to reduce greenhouse gases and to improve energy efficiency; calls for the labour inspectorate and on-site inspectorate for classified sites to be able to exchange information directly, without the administrative authorities acting as intermediaries, and for unannounced site inspections to be carried out jointly by the two inspectorates;

Notes with concern the rapidly rising levels of multi-drug-resistant fungi; stresses that the use of triazoles in, inter alia, fungicides, biocides and cosmetics leads to avoidable deaths of patients suffering from fungal infections; reiterates its call of 13 September 20181 for an urgent review of the use of fungicides in the agricultural and industrial sectors; calls for measures to rapidly reduce the use of and exposure to the most harmful triazoles;

Notes with concern that companies in the EU are producing chemicals that are not approved for use within the EU, but are exported to third countries; emphasises that the zero-pollution ambition for a toxic-free environment should be universal; notes that products containing (residues of) these chemicals are also likely to be placed on the EU market; calls for policies preventing the export of chemicals that are not approved for use in the EU;
