Reiterates that food losses and food waste must be reduced from farm to fork; welcomes, therefore, the upcoming revision of the Waste Framework Directive, including the setting of EU food waste reduction targets; calls for an enforceable EU-wide food waste reduction target of 50 % by 2030, based on a common methodology; underlines the positive effects that short food supply chains can have for reducing food waste¹ⁱ, and calls furthermore for concrete measures and binding targets to reduce the loss of food at farm level;
