Calls on the Commission to support the research on the managing of the land and on sustainable intensification: more rational use of nutrients, water and energy; more attention to the conservation of water and soil resources; more use of biological resources in pest control; it is particularly important to develop the research to improve yields whilst reducing the environmental impact;
