B. whereas the objective of the TTIP is to increase trade and investment between the European Union and the United States;

B. whereas the objective of the TTIP is to promote the activities of large multinational corporations in the European Union and the United States, weakening the capacity of the European Union and its Member States to pass legislation which would limit the power these multinaional corporations have in a deregulated free market;
